As the founding partner of TXRE Properties, LLC and its affiliates, Justin Smith oversees the management and leasing division of TXRE. His expertise also includes development opportunities and investment acquisitions and sales. His unique management style of combining property management with leasing has been successful at every managed TXRE property. Justin attended the University of New Hampshire on a full athletic scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration focusing in marketing. Justin earned his MS in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He resides in Dallas, Texas.

Julia Gilbert oversees investment management and special projects. Her role as Investment Manager includes cash flow management and analysis, asset positioning, and value enhancement. Ms. Gilbert has over 20 years experience in real estate management. Prior to TXRE Properties, Ms. Gilbert was an asset manager for Macfarlan Real Estate Services where she managed a majority owned Morgan Stanley office portfolio in Texas and a privately held portfolio consisting of office, industrial and hotel assets throughout the United States. She was also with the Archon Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, where she worked in the international acquisitions division pursuing investment opportunities for Goldman Sachs and their operating partners in South America, Europe and Asia. Ms. Gilbert is a native of Houston and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting. She is a member of several community and professional organizations including Junior League of Dallas, Catholic Charity Services and CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). Ms. Gilbert currently resides in Las Colinas with her husband and twin daughters.

Kolby Dickerson joined TXRE Properties in 2015 as Leasing Director and now serves as Vice President. Kolby has been integral to the growth of a portfolio that now encompasses over seven million square feet throughout DFW. He has been the top producer at TXRE Properties during his tenure and continually works with the rest of the team to ensure year-over-year growth across all aspects of TXRE Properties. Kolby attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, with a concentration in Real Estate.

Matthew Cheney is a Leasing Associate at TXRE Properties, where he plays a key role in the firm’s office leasing platform across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Matthew’s responsibilities encompass tenant outreach, lease negotiations, and strategic marketing initiatives. He works closely with clients to position office assets for success in a competitive market and strives for excellence by employing a strategic, results-driven approach to consistently deliver top-tier results.

Matthew began his commercial real estate career at Stream Realty Partners, where he was part of the Office Agency Leasing Team. A native of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Matthew is an avid Texas sports fan who enjoys playing golf, spending time with friends and family, and traveling in his spare time.

Grant joined TXRE Properties in 2022. Since joining TXRE, he has become an integral part of the Dallas leasing team. He prides himself on his work ethic and determination to provide his clients with the best service possible. Grant attended Texas Tech University, where he graduated from the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing. When Grant is not working, you can find him watching sports and spending time with his friends and family.

Ryan Gilbert joined the TXRE team in 2013 and currently oversees the DFW portfolio. His experience includes promoting and maintaining excellent tenant relations and proactively resolving building and tenant issues. He continually compares and negotiates ongoing vendor contracts, ensuring the best service, terms, and pricing. Ryan’s strong skill set complements TXRE’s goals and mission to provide excellent service to our clients.

Gregory Hood joined TXRE Properties in 2008 and currently serves as our Chief Facilities Engineer. As Facilities Engineer, Mr. Hood coordinates and oversees the operations and maintenance of the TXRE-managed properties in a cost-effective manner aimed at long-term preservation of the asset. His responsibilities include care of the heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing, lighting systems, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance programs.

Prior to joining TXRE, Mr. Hood served eight years in the U.S. Navy, working as a building supervisor ensuring a high quality of life for America’s sailors. Mr. Hood holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a focus in HVAC Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He is certified by the Environmental Protection Agency as a universal technician and holds R-410 and R-608 certifications. Mr. Hood continues to serve his country in the Navy Reserves. He currently resides in Grand Prairie with his wife and two children.

Linda Phillips is a perfect example of someone who started out her commercial real estate career at the bottom of the ladder and steadily worked her way up. Beginning as a building secretary and then progressing all the way to earning the Property Manager of the Year award from BOMA Dallas, Linda has proven her solid work ethic and ability to develop her leadership skills. Motivated by a love for people and an interest in commercial real estate, Linda loves to help tenants find their ideal workspace in one of our premier DFW office buildings. When she’s not busy working in the fast-paced real estate environment, you can find her relaxing with friends or volunteering at her local church.

Kerry Richardson, armed with a Bachelor of Science in Systems from The University of Texas at Arlington, boasts over two decades of experience enhancing operational efficiency and leading technology-driven projects in diverse industries. Throughout his career, Kerry has demonstrated a keen ability to develop and manage high-performing teams and deliver projects that meet stringent timelines and budgets. His leadership is marked by a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of how to harness technology to achieve business goals.
